Minyori Agency for Transformation and Development on Tuesday conducted public lectures on women’s rights in Yei under the theme: ‘Understanding women’s rights’, targeting women from Pakula Quarter Council, Tore Payam and the entire women leaders in the municipality.
Program Officer Malish Stephen Cosmos told Radio Easter that the lectures aimed to enlighten women to understand their rights and some of their concerns as stipulated in the Transitional Constitution.
He revealed a plan to organize another lecture for youths to know their rights, urged citizens to turn up for such teachings in order to get their views for making permanent Constitution.
Yei Town Block Director John Ponsiano who opened the lecture on Mayor’s behalf, urged the participants to share the knowledge they learned with their brothers and sisters.
The two officials made the statements at the opening of the public lectures on women rights on Tuesday in Yei.
