United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization or FAO on Saturday concluded a three-week training on Assistant Agro-Pastoral Field School in Rumbek, Lakes State.
Acting Agriculture Minister Joseph Maker Madit in his closing remarks, urged the participants to work as a team and take the knowledge to their people in villages, Good News Radio reported.
He urged the participants to implement the skills they learned during the training in their various communities.
FAO State Project Coordinator Louis Bagare urged people to make farming a top priority, calling on youths to use their energies for cultivating the land rather than creating insecurity though cattle rustling.
A participant, Magang Machar Nyiiny encouraged his colleagues to implement the skills they acquired in the training, urging young people to discourage negative parctices that affect development.
The Assistant Agro-Pastoral Field School training drew together 45 participants from Rumbek East, Rumbek North and Cueibet Counties.
