National Healing, Peace and Reconciliation Committee Secretary General in Yei River County said people would not realize meaningful reconciliation while the war is continuing.
Reverend Benard Suwa told the media on Saturday in the sideline of the four-week training, that peace is needed first in the country, Radio Easter reported.
He urged the warring parties to stop fighting for the Committee to engage citizens at the grassroots in forgiveness, healing and justice.
The workshop organized by the National Healing, Peace and Reconciliation Committee, brought together participants from the ten states and Abyei area.
