French Institute to trains 6 South Sudanese secondary teachers

French Institute affiliated to the University of Juba on Saturday sent six secondary teachers for two and a half training  in France.
 
Project Manager in Educational Affairs Antoine Dutarte told journalists in Juba that the training aimed at developing French courses as it is a compulsory language lesson for first and second year secondary students in the country.
 
He added that there are about 30 secondary schools in Juba teaching French and that eight of them are providing French courses on regular bases.
 
Mr Dutarte disclosed that there are more than two thousand students learning French language in Juba.
 
The Project Manager described the language as a vital need for teachers get better skills.
 
He said the training followed an agreement of three years with the Ministry of Education two months ago.
