Over fifty participants during two-day feedback workshop on views collected from states dialogue for consideration in civil society draft constitution that started on Thursday in Torit, Eastern Equatoria State, rejected dual citizenship which they said destroys patriotism.

The groups requested for scrapping of the dual citizenship clause from the national Transitional Constitution.

A member of South Sudan Law Society Farouk Ismail Ukach told Radio Emmanuel that the team collects feedback from people and forwards to the Constitution Review Commission for analysis.

He explained that Vice President James Wani Igga recently expressed similar sentiments of dual citizenship in relation to December crisis.

Mr Ismail noted that the team will continue collecting views of people on the same matter from the nine other states to assess its strength.
