Central Equatoria State Health Advisor disclosed a long term plan to harmonize low government employees’ salaries with non-governmental organisations or NGOs to improve working conditions.
Dr Felix Okenyi decried labour instability among government staff due to low salaries, compelling them to seek for better jobs, Easter Radio reported.
Dr Okenyi added that the state would soon avail capacity building opportunities to health personnel in basic and refresher courses.
He said the state catered for the trainings of clinical officers, laboratory technicians, theatre attendants, nurses and midwives.
He made the statement during the inauguration of Martha Health Centre Children’s Ward in Yei.
