Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese on Friday organized a welcoming ceremony for Dr Nicholas Womoapoi who went for studies to his office as head of the Health department.

Diocesan Human Resource Manager Joseph Ziazia said Dr Nicholas worked for for a long time before he got a nine months master degree scholarship in UK, Anisa Radio reported.

He encouraged the other staff to further their studies, disclosing plans to train at least 15 staff in the current fiscal year.

Bishop’s representative, Fr Joseph Migidi thanked the health manager for resuming work despite the fact that the diocese has little money to pay him according to his qualifications.

Dr Nicholas expressed his happiness for the warm welcome, saying it shows togetherness among the staff in the Diocese.

He thanked the Diocese and CORDAID for granting him chance and support to further his studies.
