The first South Sudan Information, Communication Technology or ICT for development conference under the theme: ‘Bridging the digital divide’ is starting in Juba from the December 3 to 5 in Juba.
A statement CRN got on Wednesday said the conference aims to ignite the country’s innovative and entrepreneurial scenes into motion through collisions of like-minded thinkers.
It is about embracing peer-to-peer learning and exchange of ideas through unexpected conversations and its model allows participants to grow and harness innovative ICT based technologies and entrepreneurial ideas.
It added that entrepreneurs, innovators, educators, students, NGO’s and companies are converging to build a strong ICT based entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The conference is expected to attract government officials, key stake holders in ICT both in public and private sector humanitarian organizations, UN agencies and financial institutions.
The conference with full support of public and private sector will bring together ICT experts, entrepreneurs and institutions of higher learning.
