Lakes State Education Director complains lack of teachers

Lakes State Education Acting Director General complained lack of teachers to impart quality education to learners.
 
Alfred Akolder told Deng Nhial Primary School pupils on Tuesday that the ministry is facing problem of recruiting more teachers, Good News Radio reported.
 
Rumbek Central County Education Director William Koji condemned news circulating in the media that education was on the verge of collapsing in Lakes State.
 
He said the state is witnessing progress in education and that Governor Matur Chut Dhuol was working hard to achieve the goal of quality education.
 
Mr Koji said they registered 1,682 candidates for Primary Eights Leaving Certificate exams this year.
 
Deng Nhial Primary named after the late William Deng Nhial is one of the biggest schools accommodating 1,500 pupils in the state.
