Ugandan Football team registered a miserable 4-1 defeat from Torit United FC in friendly match to commemorate Uganda’s 52nd Independence anniversary.

Torit United’s striker Kasey Carlos scored the first goal at 35 minute of the first half bringing the match to 1-0 against the Ugandan team, Emmanuel Radio reported.

Carlos added a second goal for his team at the tenth minute of the second half before Torit United’s defender Agara Christopher score the third goal.

Uganda’s Rogers scored the first goal for his team in the 25th minute of the second half followed by the fourth goal of Torit scored by midfielder Yabba General.

Kasey Carlos of Torit United attributed their success over the Ugandan team to regular training that enabled adequate coordination among players.

He noted that despite the Ugandan team having strong midfielders, its defense was weak, offering opportunities to Torit to take the upper hand.

Ugandan player Kasule Allan concurred with Carlos on lack of training among his team, saying only him and the team captain were regular players, blaming his colleagues for over dodging and goalkeeper’s weakness that resulted to defeat.

He said the match was meant to create harmony and peaceful co-existence among citizens and foreign nationals in Eastern Equatoria and that the Ugandan team plays the tournament annually with different teams in the state.
