Legislature approves National Security Bill amidst protests

National Legislative Assembly on Wednesday approved the National Security Service Bill, 2014 amidst walk out protests of other members.
 
Speaker Manasseh Magok Rundial and majority SPLM Members of Parliament or MPs managed to pass the Bill in the face of open calls for more time for study.
 
Minority leader Onyoti Adigo Nyikwec and other members walked out of the Augus House, protesting that assembly procedural business conduct was not followed because the document was not given to legislators 72 hours before as required.
 
Speaker Magok warned the Minority Leader against making things bad for the assembly as they marched out of the House.
 
Minority leader Adigo and Minority Chief Whip Andrew Okony Ayom told journalists later in a press briefing that should anything happen to them, Speaker Magok is responsible for threatening them.
 
Eastern Equatoria State MP Henry Oduwar also walked out of parliament, urging other Equatorian legislators to join him against unproceedural Conduct Of Business in the Assembly.
 
Central Equatoria State MP Oliver Mori warned the law house against ganging up against others, saying the security law is not for President Salva Kiir only, but future presidents like him.
