Apostolic Administrator calls for revival of faith

Torit Catholic Apostolic Administrator called on Christians to revive their faith with the celebration of St Daniel Comboni Day, the founder of the Catholic faith in South Sudan.
 
Monsignor Thomas Oliha in his Sunday Homily at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral announced that October is the month of St Daniel Comboni, advising Christians to celebrate a forthcoming feast in harmony, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
The Apostolic Administrator said Christians in Africa adopted their faith from St Daniel Comboni.
 
He described St Comboni who came from Italy to proclaim the word of God, as the ancestor of the Good News in Africa.
 
Monsignor Oliha advised Christians to remember the faith of St Comboni, narrating that his death at age of 51 years in Khartoum-Sudan was for the sake of extending the Good News of Christ to Sudanese and South Sudanese.
 
Monsignor Oliha called on the faithful to emulate the life and faith of St Daniel Comboni.
