Tombura-Yambio Diocese trains 18 agriculture extension workers

Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese offered two days in-service training to 18 agriculture extension workers and officers on field visit and reporting, book-keeping and mapping.
 
Diocesan Sustainable Livelihood Manager Samuel Simon Zigizo said the training aimed at equipping workers with skills and knowledge to produce more food, Anisa Radio reported.
 
He said the community needs skilled extension workers to boost agriculture production for both consumption and marketing.
 
Human Resource Manager Joseph Ziazia Kanido thanked all staff for utilizing Fridays’ half working day introduced by the state authorities between March and September to allow staff cultivates.
 
CARITAS Austria and CARITAS Belgium are funding the agriculture program in the Maridi, Ibba, Yambio, Nzara and Ezo areas of Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese.
