Torit St Theresa’s pupils beat altar boys in friendly match

Pupils of St Theresa Primary on Wednesday beat altar Servers of Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral parish in a friendly match marking the feast of the school patron.
 
St Theresa team captain Louis Palisto scored the first goal in 45th minute of the first half, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
The first victory celebration excitement caused Joseph Olla of St Theresa to get a yellow card.
 
The first half of the match ended 1-0 in favour of St Theresa Primary School.
 
Akim David of Sts Peter and Paul Altar Servers team scored an equalizer at the 26th minute of the second half.
 
Obiala Angel, famously known as ‘Lampard’ scored a free kick that raised the expectation of Altar Servers but the linesman rejected it as offside.
 
The pupils gained victory over Altar Servers in penalty kicks after the two teams drew 1-1 at the final minute of the match.
 
Lukano Oburang and Luka Casmiro of Altar Servers FC failed to score their penalty kicks, giving success to St Theresa Primary School pupils.
 
The football match attracted several spectators among learning institutions of the Catholic Diocese of Torit and other denominations.
