South Sudan’s Kajo-Keji County and Uganda’s Moyo District resolved to meet every week to realize relative peace among communities along the border areas.
Kajo-Keji County Press Secretary Amule Charles said the resolution was hatched in a joint evaluation meeting on Monday between Uganda and South Sudan Security forces at Jale Immigration Check Point.
He added that the joint security forces assured Kuku and Ma’di communities of lives’ and property security.
The Press Secretary said the two governments agreed to arrest anyone found threatening lives of innocent civilians in either Kajo-Keji or Moyo District.
Mr Amule added that Kajo-Keji Commissioner Henry Kala Sabuni told chiefs in a meeting to be agents of peace.
The commissioner warns that no Ma’di should be threatened anywhere.
The Press Secretary said Ma’di people are back in Kajo-Keji, earning living as usual.
