Yei River County and Municipal leaders on Tuesday assured citizens of calm and stable security following a violent clash among the wounded heroes over payments where at least three veterans died and 15 others were deformed.
Commissioner Bidali Cosmas Wori disclosed that they mobilized security forces to arrest the situation and that citizens could run their normal activities at ease, Easter Radio reported.
Yei Municipality Mayor Santo Paul Lasuba urges residents and business owners to live freely and continue performing daily activities including shops, schools and churches’ operations.
He expressed condolence to bereaved families and friends who lost their dear ones in the veterans’ clash.
