Nuba Mountains Nutrition Director instructed parents to feed children with green vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins to avoid malnutrition.

Edward Abdalla Kocho told Voice of Peace on Tuesday that greens provide children with good immunity to fight diseases.

He said the Nuba Mountains Health Secretariat realised that many children were malnourished following the outbreak of measles in the last six months, adding that the disease continues infecting children due to lack of vitamins in their body.

Mr Kocho cited mangoes, guava, simsim, groundnuts and sorghum as the most suitable to improve immunity.

He advised mothers to bath children to avoid diseases.
