Yei Senior inspector attributes pupils’ failure to current crisis

Yei River County Primary Schools Senior Inspector on Friday attributed this year high failure of pupils in mock exams to the ongoing political crisis in the country.
 
Martin Woja Bala told Easter Radio that learners and theirs parents did not have peace in their minds when the war started late last year.
 
He cited pupils’ absenteeism from schools due to watching of world cup during late hours of the night giving them no time to study.
 
The Senior Inspector also urged teachers to cooperate and embark more efforts to impart knowledge to pupils, appealing to pupils to study hard, avoid laziness and watching sports at night.
 
Yei County Primary Schools Examinations Board released P.8 mock results indicating a poor performance with 972 pupils passed representing 35.9 percent compared to 1733 who failed representing 64.1 percent.
