The people of Yambio saw few fuel tankers entering the town since Wednesday releasing them from three-week scarcity.

Anisa Radio journalist toured the petrol stations in Yambio town on Thursday and discovered that many of them started selling fuel while others were offloading tankers.

OILSOM Petroleum Company Manager Abdulai Adam said they have only little petrol to satisfy their customers and that there was completely no diesel at the moment, adding that it may reach in few days, but bad road conditions would delay.

Mr Adam lamented that the amount of petrol they received can only take one week and that they sell at the actual price of nine Pounds per a litre.

The scarcity of fuel in the petro-stations caused the price to shoot to 35 South Sudanese Pounds per a litre in black markets.

Telephone charging price doubled to two Pounds and other basic goods became very expensive.
