A group of boys selling along Yambio town market road on Thursday fought with brokers over a move to relocate them.
Yambio County Chamber of Commerce Deputy Secretary Nelson Abass Zingbondo disclosed that they deployed brokers to ask road side vendors to relocate peacefully to open space adjacent to Aliwara section behind Kenyan Commercial Bank or KCB branch, Anisa Radio reported.
He added that Yambio County Commissioner issued a local order two months ago for the rearrangement of market places informing road vendors three days earlier to vacate.
Mr Abass said some road vendors mainly boys resisted the order and seriously beat one of the order implementers.
He disclosed that police arrested four boys for fighting and the injured broker was taken to Yambio State Hospital in bad condition.
Mr Abass advised the boys to obey laws set by the county authorities.
He said the presence of boys along market roadsides was a security threat for pick-pocketing.
Anisa Radio could not access the boys for comments.
