MP says ‘tribalism disease affecting employment’

Labour and Public Service Specialized Committee member in the National Legislative Assembly on Thursday labelled tribalism as the worst disease tearing apart the nation in the employment field.
 
Henry Danga Steven said they receive complaints from citizens about tribalism, nepotism, favouritism, un-procedural recruitment and sudden dismissal of employees without clear notice, Easter Radio reported.
 
He argued that tribalism is spoiling employment system at all levels of governments.
 
The MP disclosed that Public Service, Labor and Human Resource Specialized Committees’ members in the Assembly are planning to consult communities through public hearings.
 
The MP spoke to Easter Radio in an exclusive interview at the sideline of the stakeholders one-day labour laws training in Yei on Thursday.
