United Nations Office of Project Services or UNOPS on Tuesday donated two cars and two motorcycles to Eastern Equatoria Education Ministry.

State Acting Education Minister Margaret Itto received the vehicles: one Land Cruiser-hard top, one Hilux double-cabin and two Honda motorcycles, Emmanuel Radio reported.

She during the hand-over ceremony said the two vehicles and the motorcycles would faciltate mobility of inspectors and supervisors in the ministry.

Acting Director General in the ministry Adelio Quinto recounted that the donation followed construction of nine schools by the organization in the state.

He disclosed that an agreement was reached for UNOPS to hand over two vehicles and two motorcycles to the ministry after constructing the schools.

The acting Director General called on the staff to cooperate and collective manage ministry’s property to attain gainful results.

He also urged drivers to commit to their work and take precautions to avoid damages to both life people and property of the ministry.

Mr Quinto called on other organizations to emulate UNOPS’ donate to the ministry.

Eastern Equatoria state ministers for Gender, Labour and Social Development, Paska Hifita and Brenda Stella Lorika of Public Service and Human Resource Development witnessed the hand-over ceremony.
