South Sudanese women are stepping up in saloon business mainly dominated by Ugandan women in Western Bahr El Ghazal State.
Voice of Hope reports that many native women are shifting from tea making business to saloon hairdressing viewed as a lucrative business.
A Sudanese trader Wari Shidah owning Wau Al Hadisah Saloon at Jou market discloses that he targets South Sudanese women with hair design skills in employment.
He reveals plans to expand his business to employ up to 100 South Sudanese women compared to only five now employed.
Mr Shidah explains that a successful designer makes up to 100 South Sudanese Pounds per day at Wau Al Hadisah saloon securing 60 Pounds as personal earning, but 40 Pounds remains for the saloon.
Some anonymous critics say for South Sudanese ladies to progress in saloon business they should avoid service in credit in preference to cash.
