Western Bahr el-Ghazal State governor said Egyptian government expressed willingness to explore and realize investment opportunities in the state including staff capacity building during his recent visit to Cairo.
Rizik Zachariah told his cabinet that Egyptian government pledged to invest in the electricity, agriculture, irrigation and minerals, Voice of Hope reported.
He explained that Egyptian investors would soon make visibility studies before starting operations on ground.
Governor Zachariah added that Egypt also agreed to offer scholarships to Western Bahr El Ghazal students in Cairo University on cost sharing.
The governor disclosed that his Cairo visiting team laboured to explain the war in South Sudan and that it did not affect all states, citing Bahr el Ghazal and Equatoria regions as peaceful and favourable for investment.
