The newly installed Eastern Equatoria deputy governor took over office cautioning civil servants against laziness.
Nartisio Loluke Manir, who is also the state minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement, said the government aimed at improving service delivery to the people in the state. He stressed that law enforcement would be strengthened up to county level for effective service provision.
Mr. Loluke added that the current executive would not tolerate idleness and he vowed to deal with civil servants who only appear in the office to receive salaries.
The pronouncement of the deputy governor to check on civil servants during working hours is in line with the efforts of Governor Louis Lobong Lojore who pledged to eliminate corruption in the state.
Mr. Lobong also plans to check on the work force against their service provision to eradicate overcrowding and poor performance at offices.
