Civil society groups in Yei are organizing to join the world on September 15 in celebrating International Day of Democracy under the theme: ‘Engaging youth on democracy’.
The Organisations’ General Secretary Dara Felix told the media after a preparatory meeting on Tuesday that the theme is relevant to the country’s current situation without youth participation on development, Easter Radio reported.
Mr Felix cautioned that without correction on democracy based on the constitution, the country would not move forward.
The day is expected to be commemorated at Yei Resource Centre.
