Yei River County civil society organisations in Central Equatoria urged the state government to consult communities when selecting county leaders.
Civil Society Secretary-General Dara Felix said without prior consultation on appointment of leaders, development would not be pursued, Easter Radio reported.
He added that civil society organisations are concerned with the selection procedures, suggesting that people should be asked to select leaders they want.
The Secretary General complained that their county leaders are changed within few days, but still Yei remains the same.
