Unknown gunmen kill 9 women, 3 children in Torit

Unknown attackers on Thursday killed nine women and three children at Baari village of Loudo Boma, Bur Payam of Torit County.
 
Commissioner German Ojok told Emmanuel Radio at the scene, that the victims were travelling to a funeral at Omorwo in the same Boma.
 
The Commissioner said the Thursday’s attack on the women and children was the third incident in one year at the same Payam.
 
Mr Ojok suspected Baari village youth to be responsible for the cold blood killing of the women and their children.
 
Commissioner Ojok recalled that 35 people died in the conflict between Omorwo and Baari villages since last year.
 
He condemned the incidents, describing them as horrible and inhuman.
 
Eastern Equatoria Governor, Louis Lobong Lojore called for cooperation between communities by helping in the identification of the suspects to face the law.
 
A team led by Governor Lobong including the Deputy Speaker of Council of States, Remy Oler and Police Commissioner Major General Edward Demitry collected the bodies from the attack site.
