Western Equatoria Health Ministry and partners formed Ebola taskforce to prevent the spread of the disease from the neighbouring DR Congo.
The Acting Health Minister Pia Philip Michael broke the news on Tuesday while presenting a report to the State Legislative Assembly, Anisa Radio reported.
He added that other preventive measures included the establishment of control mechanism along DRC and CAR borders and massive awareness over media, in schools and churches especially among communities at the borders.
Minister Pia warned Western Equatoria citizens against eating bush meat, advising them to thoroughly cook food especially meat.
The Augus House discussed the document and urged the taskforce to keep updating the Assembly and the cabinet on any further development.
Speaker Bage James Elisa urged the health ministry to empower the taskforce.
