AWEPA trains Yei Councillors on human rights

The Association of Western European Parliamentarian for Africa or AWEPA is training Yei River County and Municipal councillors on human rights, ethics and integrity.
 
County Commissioner Juma David Augustine encouraged the councillors to have sound minds and research a lot to widen their understanding to see variety of options, show human rights practices and promote rule of law, Easter Radio reported.
 
Mr Juma urged the councillors to promote networking for effective delivery of services to citizens.
 
AWEPA Project Coordinator John Yokwe said the international community is concerned of human rights promotion.
 
He said the training came at the right time to equip the councillors with knowledge on how to evaluate delivery of services to fuel development and sustainability.
 
The week long workshop which started on Monday is expected to conclude on Saturday.
