Green Club Society for Peace and Development Chairperson in Lakes accused media houses in Juba of exaggerating internal issues in the state.
Agar Dak Manyin in press statement on Thursday said media houses in Juba exaggerated rape cases in Rumbek beyond normality, Good News Radio reported.
He said there were only two cases reported in the state in line with the police commissioner compared to the many reported by the Juba-based media houses.
Mr Dak said the state Governor Matur Chut Dhuol took the incident that happened in Rumbek East two weeks ago very seriously and contained the situation.
The chairperson also cited news read on Radio Miraya on August 17 and 18 quoting CEPO’s Executive Director that the security was deteriorating in Lakes State.
