JUBA FOOTBALL FANS READY FOR THE WORLD CUP

A cross-section of football fans in Juba are bracing themselves to support the teams of their heats in the World Cup that kicks off tomorrow in South Africa.

SCR News reporter went to the streets of Juba to ask fans which of the 32 national teams playing in the 2010 Word Cup they supported.

Hillary said he backed up South Africa’s Bafana Bafana. He said they were a good team and with home support they might win the competition.

Ali Mubarak went across the ocean to support Argentina. He said African teams were disappointing.

Jay Juma said that he supported the Nigeria’s Supper Eagles because he put African countries first.

Another supporter said he would cheer for Spain.

Some fans said they would watch the 2010 World Cup games at home or in public places like the restaurants and bars.

Others whished they had the money to travel to South Africa.

The long awaited 2010 Football World Cup kicks off tomorrow at four o’clock with host South Africa playing against Mexico in Johannesburg.
