Secondary School girls on Friday raised their concerns against Gender Based Violence, a common practice by most tribes and families in South Sudan.

Juba Day Secondary School student Asunta Charles and her colleagues urge parents to stop the practice of violence against girls and women.

Juba Girls Headmaster Joseph Kiju Abraham says girls are competing with boys favourably and that others are performing better.

Deputy Governor Manase Lomole Waya challenged girls to avoid being termed as goal keepers in future.

The literacy gap between boys and girls remains wide, the question remains whether parents and the government would listen and act on the demands of the girls.
