Sacred Heart Parish Priest in Tonj South County of Warrap State marked the birth day of Don Bosco urging Christians to strengthen faith to flash out darkness.
Fr John Peter said Don Bosco was a true fatherly attractive personality to the young people, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He added that ‘Jesus Christ is God who sacrificed Himself to save humankind from sins, but not to separate them’.
Fr Peter said after the death of Fr Don Bosco in 1888, his mission was promised to be continued by brothers and sisters remaining faithful in the Eucharist.
The parish priest explained that after South Sudan independence, they received Salesian of Mary with about 32 congregations as part of Salesians family.
He urged Tonj South community to pray for the poor and that peace, love and unity among communities prevail in the country.
