Yei River County communities of Central Equatoria State are demanding their Local Government to deliver services to improve socio-economic development.
County spokesman Ephraim Jomo Michael told the press that residents from Otogo, Mugwo, Tore and Lasu Payams presented demands for clean drinking water, quality education, health and other infrastructures, Easter Radio reported.
The official made the statement after accompanying Payam directors and administrators to Tore Payam on Monday.
The County Gender, Child and Social Development Assistant Commissioner Victoria Nasera on her part urged parents to monitor children living status to prevent abuses and spread of HIV and AIDS.
She called on security personnel to arrest children moving at night and impose penalties on parents.
The Assistant Commissioner appealed to chiefs to come up with by-laws for the safety of children.
