A sister of the Congregation of the Servant of the Holy Spirit in Yei Catholic Diocese called upon all public servants in the country to serve with a sincere heart, love and unity.
Speaking at a one-day workshop on staff development in Yei on Friday, Sister Mercy Benson advised participants to work as a team, Easter Radio reported.
She discouraged the spirit of division and egotism which she described as a ‘barrier to national development and prosperity’.
The workshop facilitator Melika Lalam said the training was to improve skills of staff by encouraging creativity and explore ways of tackling challenges collectively.
She explained that some ways of self improvement include reading journals, books and interaction with intellectuals to discover more ways and approaches in their fields.
The facilitator urged the staff to be creative in their fields and accept constructive criticisms to foster delivery of services through regular work improvement.
