Eastern Equatoria State Assembly elected seven members for the Select Committee following the conclusion of the second reading of the Conduct Business code.

Joseph Columbus Lokodo was elected the head of the Select Committee after a lengthy debate, Emmanuel Radio reported.

The committee includes Arungole Rhino Loremo as deputy chairperson, Okumu Robert, the secretary for Finance and Alphonse Mura, Ochan John, Josephine Thomas, Tobias Lotto and Christine Nakwar Patrick.

John Wani and Opoka Nathaniel Ernst, were elected legal advisor and Secretary, respectively.

The conduct of Business Regulation 2009 is a document that spells out the rule of the legislative Assembly during their deliberations in the house.

The Select Committee is tasked with monitoring the conduct of legislators at the Assembly.
