A priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba appealed to South Sudan political leaders and citizens to change attitudes and preach real peace.

Fr Martin Ochaya Lino in his Sunday homily at St Charles Lwanga Chapel in Juba, said many people talk of embracing peace, but forget to change their attitudes, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said without change of attitudes, peace could be reached and that for peace to prevail there must be justice, unity and equal distribution of resources.

Fr Ochaya said today in South Sudan citizens fear because there is no assurance of protection from attacked.

He called on citizens to seek protection and live freely at the banquet of Jesus Christ.

The Catholic priest urged the leaders in the country to do what God entrusted them to carry out by delivering services to people.
