Sudd Institute, a research body published an analysis on Sunday that any solution seeking to exclude President Salva Kiir and Opposition leader Riek Machar from the proposed interim government of national unity arrangement is unsustainable.

The analysis recommends the international community to exert pressure on the warring parties to end crisis by engaging them to a unified and unequivocal position.

It argued that although power struggle within the SPLM party triggered the conflict historical issues unresolved after the CPA compounded the situation.

The analysis identified illiteracy, maladministration and undemocratic nature in the SPLM, lack of employment and weak institutions as other contributing factors to the crisis.
