The Muslim Community in Yei River County of Central Equatoria on Wednesday celebrated Eid El Fitr ending 30 days of the holy month of Ramadan.
County Commissioner David Juma Augustine said the government would not move an extra mile without establishing good religious links, Easter Radio reported.
He termed religion as the only key to peace, love, unity and development.
The County Muslim community chairman Said Jamba commended government authorities for providing proper security from the beginning of the holy month to the end.
The ceremony which took place at the main Mosque of Yei town brought together government officials, Muslims, Christians from different denominations and members of the public.
Central Equatoria Governor Clement Wani Konga supported the occasion that concluded with a group photo showing unity and religious coexistence in Yei.
