Central Equatoria Conflict Mitigation and Prevention Director blamed elders for exceeding the retire age causing high unemployment of youths in the country.

Addressing youths’ conference in Yei, Khemis Benz observed that elders failed to consider the youths as important elements of the country, Easter Radio reported.

He pointed out that there are many educated jobless youths because elders did not create employment opportunities for them.

Mr Benz said employees are supposed to retire at the age 55 years, but some reach to 80 years without giving chance to young people because they want to stop working when very old or die in the position.

State MP representing Lasu Payam Daniel Lokoroto called on citizens to organize, move out and ensure that there is good governance to get efficient services.

The leaders spoke on Monday at the opening of youth’s conference in Yei Municipality.
