Yei Catholic Bishop on Sunday advised all catechists to have strong faith on their work of evangelization.

Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe encouraged catechists to continue doing their job though without salaries because Christians need sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation and Matrimony, Easter Radio reported.

The Bishop called on youths to join the catechists’ training to replace the old ones and fill the vacuums left by those who died.

Bishop Lodu said the Catholic Church this year lost three elderly priests: Monsignor Jokondo Anyugo of Yei Diocese, Monsignor Anania Lodu Bepo of Juba Archdiocese and Fr John Dingi of Khartoum Archdiocese.
