Youths’ good governance conference starts in Yei

A three-day youths’ conference on good governance, youth participation and socio-economic development started on Monday in Yei River County of Central Equatoria.
 
County Commissioner Juma David Augustine stressed the need to involve youths in good governance, decision making to have a country with peace, free of corruption, tribalism and disrespect of human rights, Easter Radio reported.
 
Community Empowerment for Rehabilitation and Development Program Manager Mawa George Lazarus said the project is funded by Foundation Open Society in Yei, Lainya and Morobo Counties.
 
The three-day conference under the theme: ‘Nothing is for us without us’ is expected to conclude on Wednesday.
