The President of the Republic said formation of technocrats’ government in South Sudan would only escalate killing as opposed to peace.
Salve Kiir Mayardit criticized intellectuals suggesting regime change and replacement with technocrats, saying it was unacceptable, Voice of Hope reported.
He argued that bringing leaders from abroad would not solve the crisis, but encourage massive killing in the country without explaining how.
President Kiir said the crisis was not tribal conflict between Dinka and Nuer, but a political misunderstanding.
