Writers Association calls for support to change South Sudan

South Sudanese Writers Association called for support to authors of books to change the image of the country.
 
The Association chairperson Joseph Abuk told a group of 40 writers in Juba on Thursday that NGOs and people of good will should emulate GOETHE Institute of Ethiopia in funding writers, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He said the Association authors would open eyes of citizens and enlighten South Sudan masses for the country to stand on two feet
 
German Ambassador to South Sudan David Schwake called on writers to address the question South Sudanese identity, their past, present and the way forward.
 
He said it was important for writers to tackle the identity of the people and their desired goal.
 
GOETHE Institute of Ethiopia supported the Writers’ Association in South Sudan.
