A young man on Monday appealed to government elderly leaders not to let the nation and the young generation down by showing bad practices.
Makoi Machi Achiek who is preparing to celebrate South Sudan independence on July 9 for the first time in history, cautioned the aging leaders against messing up the country.
He warned the elderly politicians against careless leadership for pushing time as their days are numbering out.
Mr Machi appealed to the government not to take citizens back to thebush, but take towns to people in villages as the late SPLM leader Dr John Garang envisioned.
He challenged the country’s leadership not to let people migrate to towns instead of taking towns to them.
A vacating student in Juba Peter Mapuor Makuei told surviving heroes and heroines to maintain the principles and vision of the SPLM to make the independence meaningful.
Mr Mapuor argued that independence celebration is not important if there is still ignorance, poverty and laziness involving sitting idle under trees.
