United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS outgoing chief praised Greater Equatoria region for maintaining peace and stability amidst mid December crisis in the country.
Hilde F Johnson on Friday during her farewell tour to Eastern Equatoria said she was in Torit to appreciate Governor Louis Lobong Lojore before departure.
She said that her choice of Torit for the Equatoria was because of the Governor’s support, strong stance for peace and full cooperation with the Mission.
Eastern Equatoria Governor Louis Lojore who travelled from Juba received the UNMISS Chief at the state Secretariat.
Hilde F Johnson is expected to depart Juba on Tuesday after a farewell media address at Juba International Airport at 2:00 PM. South Sudan time.
