The Office of the President on Tuesday refuted and strongly condemned rumours created by face book account of Nyamel Elijah’s conspiracy to assassinate the three Equatoria Governors.

The Presidential spokesperson Ateny Wek Ateny denied also reintroducing night curfew by the same source, describing it as a lie, Bakhita Radio reported.

He called on the general public to remain focused and devoid of rumours mongering, saying the government was under control.

Mr Ateny said the issue of federalism is not a crime and President Salva Kiir cannot conspire to kill any one advocating for federal governance.

The spokesperson said the country first priority was peace and the federal governance becomes the second.

He said the current government came in according to the will of the people and that if South Sudanese want federalism it must be determined in a referendum.

Mr Wek accused the opposition of launching media propaganda against the government, describing the face book account of Nyamel Elijah as a devil of all devils that misinform the public.
