The procession with the Blessed Sacrament marking the feast of the Body of Christ yesterday was appreciated by the faithful as a source of peace.
Christina Ayen Machut goes to mass at Sacred Heart outstation, in Rumbek. She told Good News Radio soon after the procession that the celebration of the Body and Blood of Jesus filled the entire community with peace.Ms. Ayen described Jesus’ miraculous feeding of the crowd with five loaves and two fish “a wonderful thing”.
She added that Jesus continued performing miracles in our lives, miracles that result in peace.
Ms. Ayen also said that the Blessed Sacrament carried around during the procession brought peace to the homes.
Samuel Aru shared his appreciation for the celebration, saying that he noticed two male onlookers during the procession expressing joy and happiness.
Mr. Aru said that the procession left behind peace, adding that Jesus left his body and blood in the Eucharist for the faithful to remember him as one who is always among them.
The solemnity of Corpus Christi recalled the self-offering of Jesus Christ in his body and blood in a thanksgiving celebration called the Eucharist or Holy Mass.
