Western Equatoria Governor on Monday refuted rumours circulating in the country that President of the Republic would arrest and kill Equatoria Governors in Juba.
Bangasi Joseph Bakasoro told journalists at Juba International Airport that big propaganda to topple the government was tarnishing the image of the country and President Salva Kiir, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said the rumours were propaganda of people trying to bring down the country and that if there are mistakes they should be handled in a helpful manner.
The Governor warned people who do not love the country to resign and sit in their houses rather than spreading dangerous rumours to cause more problems that breed hatred among South Sudanese.
He said on Sunday he was accused of planning to send away Dinka in the state, an action he said was not true because all tribes in the state live in unity.
The Governor explained that the issue cattle entering Western Equatoria should be discussed and settled amicably.
Governor Bakasoro said federalism started long time ago from South Sudanese themselves not only Equatorians.
He said no one should deny the public from discussing the system of governance they want.
